If you haven’t already done so, as I have, you may want to discontinue your membership in AARP. I logged out over a decade ago after realizing that they had become nothing short of a marketing organization with a captive audience.

I further realized that they were a Democratic Party supporter without bothering to obtain a vote of the membership.  Their insurance policies are, in many cases, more expensive than others readily obtainable.  Their “discounts” are mostly the same as motels and other companies offer to all senior citizens.

The latest example of their liberal nature is support of Obamacare.  Obamacare has provisions for the rationing of medical care for the elderly and AARP professes to be an advocate for the elderly.

If you do a close evaluation of their activities, I believe you will come to the same conclusion I did years ago.  For a start, how many times have you been asked for your opinion on major legislation?  Were you consulted about Obamacare?  How often are you bombarded with “the latest and greatest” insurance product, by AARP?
